Coppicing course feedback
Helping restore local woodland
Course feedback
Your tips regarding Bristol Design, etc were also very much appreciated
(as was the food). Informative, friendly and much enjoyed. Thank you

Good value, covered all aspects of coppicing, friendly relaxed atmosphere.
Thanks for the very useful points for tool suppliers, etc. Very useful, very informative, and a very nice atmosphere- Thanks very much.

Just a quick note to say that we both really enjoyed the course. It
was lovely to visit a different wood - when you own a wood you tend
to spend so much of your spare time there that you don't have time to
visit anywhere else!
It was really helpful to learn the methods of coppicing, how to
select trees to keep as standards (something that was really confusing
us), and how to organize the work area and stack the timber properly.
The tools you provided us with were really good, and the catering arrangements
were very good too.
Best wishes Sarah Walters
My brother and I came for a weekend coppicing course. We were greeted
by Trevor the woodland owner and shown the reserve on arrival.
We camped in the woods both nights and I think that compliments the
experience.
The woodland setting is stunning and it was lovely to experience no
light and noise pollution.
Its the perfect means to wind down and I would recommend this course
to anyone.
I will be booking my second visit for some one to one tuition as soon
as I can.
Phil is great and has a lovely relaxed method of delivery. The atmosphere
is steady and the food was great too.
I can't wait to get back thier to do some furniture building and charcoal
making.
Thank you very much Phil for a great weekend.

Had a great weekend on the Coppicing course. Phil is extremely knowledgeable and is excellent at passing on that knowledge. I camped in the woods for the night and can say that it was an experience on its own listening to the muntjac. Food was excellent and i cannot recommend this course enough. 5 stars .

My courses take place at Ravenshill Woodland Reserve, Alfrick, Worcestershire, which is a 50 acre privately owned nature reserve, which has a patchwork of diverse habitat including many indicator species of ancient semi-natural woodland. It has both deciduous and various conifer species.
Camping is available in the wood for course participants on two day courses at a cost of £6 per night per person. There are also some excellent hotels and B&B'S locally. Please go the links page for local accommodation.

My gift vouchers are an ideal present for christmas, a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion and a way to give your friend or loved one the chance to spend time in the woodland and learn more about the traditional craft of coppicing.
